Manual Software Tester

Primary Responsibilities
  • Create detailed test plans, acceptance criteria and validation procedures based on project requirements and specifications
  • Help with gathering the requirements
  • Test new and existing features in both the pre-and post-release stage of the development lifecycle
  • Analyze and review user stories to ensure they are complete and testable
  • Validate user stories based on the requirements
  • Identify, record and track bugs
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, designers and developers while refining and defining the user stories in the Backlog
  • Working closely with the Development team to ensure the acceptance criteria is met
  • Support implementation of the process improvements identified in the Retrospective meeting
  • Participate in all Scrum ceremonies
  • Take over a Scrum Master role in one or multiple teams as needed
Qualifications
  • BSc/Ba in Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Manual Tester or similar role
  • Highly proficient in both written and spoken English
  • Tech-savvy with a good understanding of IT concepts
  • Knowledge of the Agile testing methodologies and techniques
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
  • Knowledge of Software Development Process
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical and non-technical issues
  • Passion for quality, performance, reliability, and teamwork
  • Experience working with Asana, Jira, Trello or other tools for project organization is a plus
  • A keen eye for details
  • Analytical mind, and problem-solving attitude
  • Quick learner and self-starter
